Fourteen traditional hanok houses in Gwangyang’s historic old town have been reborn as “Inseori Park,” an open, contemporary cultural complex where lowered walls and open thresholds invite visitors into a new kind of artistic experience. Blending the quiet charm of heritage architecture with modern sensibilities, the space offers a seamless encounter with art in everyday life.

Within Inseori Park, the gallery Banchanggo presents genre-crossing exhibitions and the unique visions of emerging and established artists. Gappao’s Room, a former garage transformed into a creative exhibition space, showcases experimental works, while the Art Shop “Art&Edition” offers everything from curated stationery to limited-edition pieces by renowned artists.

The book café Aat—serving coffee, desserts, wine, and artisanal market items—provides a place of both rest and inspiration, and also functions as a flexible MICE venue for meetings and conventions. Meanwhile, the hanok stays—Dagyeongdang, Hoegyungdang, and Yerin’s House—preserve the quiet breath of time, offering travelers a warm and peaceful retreat.

Selected as a 2025 Jeonnam Unique Venue, Inseori Park stands as Gwangyang’s new cultural hub, where art, leisure, and community converge.
