Barn Mi-Ryung's solo exhibition “Encounter” is presented at Gallery GAIA from May 19 – Jun 7, 2021. Featuring 23 paintings, the exhibition explores the intersection of past and present, reality and dreams, and the imaginary spaces that exist between them. Through luminous landscapes, architectural walls, flowers, birds, and expansive views of the sky and sea, Barn creates contemplative compositions that transcend conventional boundaries of time and space. The exhibition also features works paying homage to Joseon-era painters An Gyeon and Jeong Seon, reinterpreting their masterpieces through her distinctive visual language. By layering delicate colors and textures through repeated brushwork, the artist invites viewers to reflect on identity, existence, and the beauty of fleeting life within an eternal world.

반미령 개인전 《Encounter》는 2021년 5월 19일부터 6월 7일까지 갤러리 가이아에서 개최된다. 이번 전시는 과거와 현재, 현실과 꿈, 그 사이에 존재하는 환상의 세계를 빛과 색채로 표현한 회화 작품 23점을 선보인다. 작가는 끝없이 이어지는 벽과 창, 꽃과 새, 하늘과 바다 등의 상징적 이미지를 통해 시간과 공간의 경계를 허물고 삶의 본질과 자아에 대한 사색을 이끈다. 특히 조선시대 화가 안견의 〈몽유도원도〉와 정선의 〈금강내산〉을 오마주한 작품을 통해 서로 다른 시대와 세계가 만나는 순간을 표현한다. 수십 차례 반복되는 붓질과 섬세한 색채의 중첩으로 완성된 화면은 고요하고 명상적인 분위기를 자아내며, 영원한 시공간 속에서 오늘을 살아가는 자신의 존재를 돌아보게 한다.
