Woo Byoungyun's solo exhibition “SPRING OUT” is presented at Gallery MOSOON in Seoul from Apr 18 – May 10, 2025. The exhibition explores a new phase in the artist's practice, shifting from introspective explorations of landscapes and emotions toward sharing personal experiences with others. Known for his layered paintings combining plaster and gouache, Woo moves beyond the process of scraping away painted surfaces in his earlier series “Overlap” to embrace a more open and expressive approach in “Yulryeo.” Drawing inspiration from photographs, memories, and everyday encounters, his abstract compositions convey the emotional resonance of landscapes and the connections formed through shared experiences.

우병윤 개인전 《SPRING OUT》은 2025년 4월 18일부터 5월 10일까지 갤러리 모순에서 개최된다. 이번 전시는 자신이 발견한 아름다움을 타인과 나누는 방향으로 확장되는 작가의 새로운 작업 세계를 조명한다. 석고와 과슈 물감을 활용한 추상회화로 알려진 작가는 기존의 〈중첩〉 연작에서 물감을 긁어내며 내면의 풍경을 탐구했다면, 〈율려〉에서는 일상의 기록과 사진, 함께한 순간들을 바탕으로 보다 자유로운 붓질과 감정의 교류를 표현한다. 봄과 도약, 내면에서 외부로의 확장을 의미하는 전시 제목처럼, 개인적인 풍경에서 출발한 회화는 타인과 아름다움을 공유하고 소통하는 새로운 가능성을 제시한다.
