The solo exhibition “Colors Become the Poetry of Life” by Keum Dong Won is presented at Gallery GAIA from May 6 – May 18, 2015. 금동원 개인전 《색채, 생명의 시가 되어》는 갤러리 가이아에서 2015년 5월 6일부터 5월 18일까지 진행된다. 이번 전시는 자연의 생명력과 아름다움을 찬란한 색채와 시적인 조형 언어로 풀어내는 작가의 회화 세계를 조명한다. 작가는 어린 시절 자연에서 경험한 숲과 꽃, 나무, 새와 곤충 등의 기억을 바탕으로 익숙한 자연의 형상을 독창적인 기호와 이미지로 재구성한다. 화면 속 나뭇가지에 떠 있는 물고기와 춤추는 듯한 나뭇잎, 선율을 연상시키는 꽃들은 현실과 상상이 교차하는 시각적 은유를 형성한다. 풍부한 색채와 리듬감 있는 붓질, 중첩된 이미지들은 자연의 생동감과 내면의 사유를 담아내며, 색채를 통해 생명의 아름다움과 시적 감성을 전달한다.
