The invitational exhibition “소요하다...” by Soyo Kim is presented at ITTA SPACE Small Art Museum in Incheon from May 18 – Jun 9, 2024. Under the theme “Free Journey: Walking the Earth,” the exhibition explores the artist’s encounters with nature and the emotions, memories, and energies gathered through travel. Inspired by walks through forests, glacial valleys, and windswept harbors, the artist translates the mysterious vitality of the natural world into paintings, particularly through experiments depicting lichens on canvas. Reflecting on the relationship between human existence, nature, and artistic expression, the works invite viewers to wander freely, embrace unfamiliar experiences, and rediscover the beauty of life's unfolding journey.
