The solo exhibition “Unsorted: Beauty Beyond Classification” by Song Jin Uk is presented at Gallery ZEINXENO from Mar 1 – Mar 15, 2026. Exploring the boundaries between beauty and imperfection, mainstream and marginal, and nature and artificiality, the exhibition questions conventional standards of aesthetics and social symbolism. In the “Unsorted” series, everyday objects and plants coexist in unexpected arrangements, creating a subtle balance between order and spontaneity. The “Beauty of the Non-Mainstream” series features figures adorned with luxury accessories whose asymmetrical features challenge established ideals of beauty. Through symbolic imagery of crowned tigers, decorated pigs, and bulls, the artist playfully reinterprets authority, desire, and power, inviting viewers to reconsider fixed categories and discover beauty beyond conventional definitions.

송진욱 개인전 《Unsorted: 분류되지 않은 아름다움》은 갤러리 자인제노에서 2026년 3월 1일부터 3월 15일까지 진행된다. 이번 전시는 아름다움과 추함, 주류와 비주류, 자연과 인공 등 우리가 당연하게 받아들여온 분류의 기준을 회화적으로 재해석하며 고정된 미의 관념에 질문을 던진다. 〈Unsorted〉 연작에서는 책과 접시, 뿌리를 드러낸 식물 등이 한 화면에 병치되며 제도와 생명 사이의 긴장과 균형을 드러낸다. 〈비주류의 아름다움〉 시리즈에서는 명품 장신구로 꾸며진 인물들의 비대칭적인 얼굴을 통해 아름다움의 본질과 사회적 기호의 관계를 탐구한다. 또한 왕관을 쓴 호랑이와 장식된 동물들의 이미지를 통해 권위와 욕망, 힘의 상징을 유희적으로 전복하며, 관객에게 익숙한 분류의 틀을 벗어난 유연한 시선과 새로운 미적 가능성을 제안한다.
