The solo exhibition “ATOPOS : Beyond Place” by Yoon Hye-jin is presented at Gallery CNK in Daegu from Apr 24 – Jun 6, 2026. Exploring the Greek concept of “Atopos,” which refers to something that resists classification or fixed identity, the exhibition features paintings that move beyond familiar notions of place and form. Through spontaneous drawing and automatism, the artist creates unpredictable shapes and vibrant compositions where colors, lines, and symbols interact freely. By combining archetypal imagery with elements of contemporary popular culture and art history, her works challenge conventional boundaries of time, space, and meaning, inviting viewers to encounter the unfamiliar within the familiar.
