“The Aesthetics of Warmth,” a solo exhibition by Kim In Ok, is presented at Space Huam 23 in Seoul from Mar 17 – Apr 7, 2024. 김인옥 개인전 《따뜻함의 미학》은 2024년 3월 17일부터 4월 7일까지 서울 스페이스 후암 23에서 열린다. 개관 이래 처음 선보이는 기획전으로, 한국 채색화단을 대표하는 김인옥 작가의 작품 18점을 통해 유년의 기억과 고향에 대한 그리움, 미래를 향한 희망을 조명한다. 〈항금리 가는 길〉 연작은 작가의 고향에 대한 애틋한 기억에서 출발해 평온한 서정성과 선명하고 화려한 색채가 어우러진 풍경을 선보인다. 반면 〈기다림〉 연작은 돌아갈 수 없는 과거 대신 앞으로 펼쳐질 미래의 가능성을 바라보며 설렘과 희망을 담아낸다. 특히 이번 전시에서 처음 공개되는 신작은 수묵의 은은한 번짐과 뚜렷한 열기구 이미지를 대비시켜 몽환적이고 시적인 분위기를 자아낸다. 이번 전시는 작가 특유의 따뜻한 시선과 자유로운 색채 표현을 통해 관람객에게 잊고 있던 그리움과 새로운 꿈을 마주하는 시간을 선사한다.
