Lee Ufan's solo exhibition is presented at Kukje Gallery in Seoul from Apr 4 – May 28, 2023. Marking his second solo exhibition at the gallery since 2009, the show features six sculptures and four drawings spanning works from the 1980s to recent creations. Centered on his seminal Relatum series, the exhibition explores the relationship between nature and civilization, the self and others, and the visible and invisible. Through restrained arrangements of natural stones, industrial steel, and other materials, Lee creates spaces of encounter in which individual elements coexist and interact. Works such as Relatum – The Kiss (2023) and Relatum – The Sound Cylinder (1996/2023) reveal the subtle tensions and resonances generated through these encounters, while drawings from the Dialogue series invite quiet contemplation. By emphasizing emptiness, materiality, and the relationship between objects and viewers, the exhibition offers a meditative exploration of existence, coexistence, and infinity.

〈Relatum – The Kiss〉(2023), 〈Relatum – The Sound Cylinder〉(1996/2023)
