The solo exhibition “Cycle of the Drop” by Yoo Choong Mok is presented at Allme Art Space in Seoul from Sep 18 – Oct 20, 2025. Exploring the evolution of the water droplet motif in Korean contemporary art, the exhibition reinterprets its traditional aesthetic and philosophical significance through glass, light, and color. Inspired by the legacy of Kim Tschang-Yeul's water drop paintings, Yoo develops a distinctive visual language that reflects the passage of time, the continuity of existence, and the relationship between past and present. Featuring approximately 30 installations and two-dimensional works, the exhibition combines glass droplets with textured canvases and colors inspired by Korean traditions, including obangsaek, indigo, and dancheong. As light and shadows shift with the viewer's perspective, the works invite contemplation on the fleeting beauty of moments and the endless cycle of life.

유충목 초대 개인전 《물방울의 순환 – Cycle of the Drop》은 2025년 9월 18일부터 10월 20일까지 서울 올미아트스페이스에서 열린다. 이번 전시는 한국 현대미술에서 물방울 모티프가 지닌 미학적 의미를 동시대적 감각으로 확장하며, 시간과 공간, 존재와 순환의 관계를 탐구한다. 김창열의 물방울 회화에서 영감을 받은 작가는 유리 물방울과 빛, 색채를 결합해 전통과 현대가 공존하는 독창적인 조형 세계를 선보인다. 유리 물방울을 활용한 설치 및 평면 작품 30여 점을 통해 황목 캔버스의 자연스러운 질감과 오방색, 쪽빛, 단청에서 비롯된 색채를 현대적으로 재해석한다. 빛의 각도와 관람자의 시선에 따라 달라지는 물방울의 반사와 그림자는 순간과 영원, 과거와 현재가 이어지는 순환의 의미를 감각적으로 경험하게 한다.
