“Lights of Perception,” a solo exhibition by Kim Sea Joong, is held at Gong Art Space in Seoul from Dec 6 – Dec 17, 2022. The exhibition explores the relationship between light, color, and space through the artist's distinctive approach to painting. Moving beyond the conventional two-dimensional canvas, Kim incorporates painted canvas fragments to create layered compositions that introduce sculptural depth and spatial rhythm. As light interacts with the raised surfaces, subtle shadows and shifting perspectives reveal new dimensions within the artwork. 장흥 가나아뜰리에 입주작가 김세중의 개인전 《인식의 빛들》은 2022년 12월 6일부터 17일까지 서울 인사동 공아트스페이스에서 열린다. 이번 전시는 빛과 색채, 공간의 관계를 탐구하는 작가의 독창적인 조형 세계를 조명한다. 김세중은 전통적인 평면 회화의 경계를 넘어 채색된 캔버스 조각을 입체적으로 구성하며 회화와 조각의 특성을 결합한 작업을 선보인다. 캔버스 표면에서 돌출된 형태들은 빛의 방향에 따라 다양한 그림자와 공간감을 만들어내고, 화면에 새로운 리듬과 깊이를 부여한다. 평면과 입체, 빛과 그림자 사이의 관계를 통해 관람객은 익숙한 회화의 개념을 새롭게 인식하고, 시각적 경험과 공간에 대한 확장된 사유를 경험하게 된다.
