Cheon Woo-Sun’s solo exhibition “Fullness of Emptiness” is presented at Soluna Fine Art in Hong Kong from Oct 9 – Oct 18, 2025. Inspired by traditional Korean ceramics, the artist reimagines the forms of bowls and vessels through metal and Ottchil (Korean lacquer), introducing openings and gaps into classic vessel structures using meticulously welded wire. By deconstructing form into points and lines that converge into hollow planes, the works maintain a seamless sense of movement and fluidity from every angle. Embodying the philosophy that “to fill, one must first empty,” the Open Vase series prompts contemplation on presence and absence through dynamic three-dimensional expression.

천우선 개인전 《Fullness of Emptiness》는 솔루나파인아트에서 2025년 10월 9일부터 10월 18일까지 진행된다. 전통 한국 도자기에서 영감을 받은 작가는 금속과 옻칠을 매개로 그릇과 항아리의 형태를 새롭게 해석하며, 와이어로 구조를 해체·재구성해 유려한 움직임과 공간감을 구현한다. ‘채우기 위해서는 비워야 한다’는 철학적 관점을 바탕으로 제작된 작품들은 관객이 있음과 없음의 관계를 사유하도록 이끈다. 홍콩에서 열린 이번 전시는 여러 시점에서 조형적 흐름과 촉각적 상호작용을 경험하게 하는 역동적인 금속 조각 연작을 선보인다.
