Unrestraint was a solo exhibition by Yoo Choong Mok at Gallery Venus, presenting works that capture specific moments within the continuous flow of time and space through his distinctive glass-based sculptural technique.

In the Formation series, Yoo Choong Mok visualizes traces of time through the transformation of molten material into transparent glass spheres. Drawing on the spirit of Chusa Kim Jeong-hui’s principle of “Ipgo Chulsin,” the artist bridges tradition and contemporary practice, combining subtle ink tones with restrained lines of pure gold to evoke a distinctly Korean sensibility. Transparent glass functions as a lens reflecting both past and present, offering viewers an experience that dissolves the boundaries of time and space.

유충목의 Formation 시리즈는 고온의 유동적 상태를 거쳐 투명한 유리 구슬로 변화하는 과정을 통해 시간의 흔적을 시각화한다. 추사 김정희의 ‘입고출신’ 정신을 바탕으로 전통과 현대를 연결하며, 먹의 농담과 순금의 절제된 선을 통해 한국적 정서를 담아낸다.
