윤혜진은 뉴욕 Parsons the New School of Design에서 순수미술을 전공하고 동 대학원을 졸업했다. A.I.R Gallery와 John Connelly Presents에서 개인전을 열었으며, 뉴욕타임스에 소개되는 등 뉴욕에서 주목받는 젊은 작가로 활발한 활동을 이어가고 있다. 국내에서도 2000년부터 개인전을 열며 새로운 기호와 아이콘을 보여주는 역동적인 표현의 회화 및 콜라주 작업을 선보여 왔다.

작가의 작업은 내면의 원형을 탐구하며 심연의 유희를 자유로운 드로잉을 기반으로 형상화한다. 기존의 관념화된 사고에서 벗어나 직관적으로 재현된 이미지는 어디에도 고정되지 않은 자유로운 실체로서, 일정한 규칙 없이 구상과 추상의 경계를 넘나든다.

강렬한 색채의 조화와 자유로운 형태는 끊임없는 관찰과 내면적 탐구를 통해 탄생한 새로운 ‘존재’이다. 본능적으로 표현된 감각적인 캐릭터 형상은 상상력을 자극하며, 관객으로 하여금 또 다른 시선으로 세상을 바라보게 한다. 갤러리 반디트라소, 나마 갤러리, 을지예술센터 등 다양한 공간에서 전시를 진행해 왔다.

Yoon Hye Jin studied fine art at Parsons the New School of Design in New York and completed her graduate studies there. She has held solo exhibitions at A.I.R Gallery and John Connelly Presents, and has been featured in The New York Times, establishing herself as a notable young artist in New York. Since 2000, she has also presented solo exhibitions in Korea, showcasing dynamic paintings and collages that introduce new symbols and visual icons.

Her work explores inner archetypes, giving form to playful depths of the psyche through freehand drawing. Intuitively rendered images break away from conventional conceptual frameworks, existing as fluid entities that move freely between figuration and abstraction without fixed rules.

The bold harmony of colors and liberated forms give rise to new “beings” born from continuous observation and introspective exploration. The instinctively expressed, sensuous characters stimulate the imagination and invite viewers to perceive the world from alternative perspectives. Her works have been exhibited at venues including Gallery Banditraso, Nama Gallery, and Eulji Art Center.
