현대인들이 바쁜 일상에서도 커피 한 잔을 들고 주변을 둘러볼 여유가 있으면 좋겠다는 류예지 작가. 그는 홍익대학교 미술대학 회화과와 이화여대 교육대학원 미술교육과를 졸업한 후, 한국창작미술대전, MBC 미술대전, 대한민국 국민예술대전에서 여러 차례 수상하며 주목받는 작가로 자리매김했다.

Artist Ryu Yeji hopes that even amid busy modern lives, people can find the leisure to look around while holding a cup of coffee. After graduating from the Department of Painting at Hongik University College of Fine Arts and the Graduate School of Art Education at Ewha Womans University, he established himself as a notable artist by receiving multiple awards at the Korea Creative Art Exhibition, the MBC Art Competition, and the Korea National Art Competition.

Emphasizing the essence of life in which humans and individual entities coexist, he expresses how both living beings and inanimate objects sense and connect with one another. His works embody a desire to approach those who find art difficult in a more approachable way. Through the psychological calm of pastel tones, the vitality of primary colors, and the use of spatial emptiness, he offers viewers comfort and imagination, encouraging them to experience small moments of joy.

He sketches the scenes before him while sitting in a car or by the roadside, then combines their colors and forms to create new works.
