박상희는 숙명여대 회화과를 거쳐 홍익대학교 미술대학원을 졸업하고 대안공간과 갤러리에서 여러 차례의 개인전을 했다. 난지 미술창작스튜디오의 1기 입주작가로 송은미술대전과 중앙미술대전, 나혜석 여성미술대전 등 여러 차례 미술대전에서 입상했다.

작품에는 선과 면, 색으로 구성된 구도 속에 일상의 사물과 인물들이 등장한다. 그 속에 수영장과 계곡 등에서 현대인이 느끼는 복잡한 심경을 역설적으로 표현함으로써 공감대를 만든다.

그는 낯익은 공간을 색 면으로 분할해 기하학적으로 단순화시켜 비현실적인 공간으로 만들고, 그 안에 한 인간을 그려 넣는 작업을 지속적으로 해왔다. 1인 가구가 점점 늘어나는 시대, 현대인의 고립감과 불안을 모던한 방식의 시각언어로 표현함으로써 미술계와 대중의 관심을 동시에 받고 있다. 그의 작품은 국립현대미술관, 서울시립미술관, 을지병원, 숙명여자대학교 등에 소장되어 있다.

Park Sang Hee studied painting at Sookmyung Women’s University and completed her graduate studies at the College of Fine Arts, Hongik University. She has held numerous solo exhibitions at alternative spaces and galleries, and as a first-generation resident artist of the Nanji Art Studio, she received awards at several major art competitions including the SongEun Art Award, the JoongAng Art Competition, and the Na Hye-seok Women Artists’ Exhibition.

In her works, everyday objects and figures appear within compositions constructed of lines, planes, and colors. Through scenes such as swimming pools and valleys, she paradoxically expresses the complex emotions felt by contemporary individuals, creating a sense of shared empathy.

She has continuously worked on transforming familiar spaces into unreal environments by dividing them into color planes and simplifying them geometrically, then placing a solitary human figure within them. In an era of increasing single-person households, her modern visual language articulates the isolation and anxiety of contemporary life, drawing attention from both the art world and the public. Her works are held in collections including the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, the Seoul Museum of Art, Eulji Hospital, and Sookmyung Women’s University.
