이수미(Lee Soomi) 작가는 뉴욕주립대학교 패션 인스티튜트 오브 테크놀로지에서 주얼리 디자인을 전공하고, 홍익대학교 대학원에서 조각 연구를 바탕으로 실버, 브론즈 등 금속 매체를 활용한 작품 활동을 이어가고 있다. 그녀는 손에 잡히는 악세사리에서 공간을 채우는 설치 작품에 이르기까지 장르의 경계를 넘어 조각과 공예를 넘나들며 예술활동을 펼친다.

선적 요소에서 영감을 얻은 생명체의 강인함이 가느다란 다리로 표현된 브론즈 부터, 그녀의 손길을 거쳐 귀하고 아름다운 오브제로 변신하는 다양한 작품에 이르기까지, 이수미 작가는 상상하는 모든 것을 독보적인 예술 작품으로 탄생시킨다.

Lee Soomi studied Jewelry Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, State University of New York, and pursued Sculpture research at Hongik University Graduate School. She works across media, from handheld accessories to large-scale installations, seamlessly bridging the boundaries between sculpture and craft.

Inspired by linear elements, the resilience of life is expressed through slender legs in her bronze . From these works to the various objects transformed into precious and beautiful art pieces through her touch, Lee Soomi brings all of her imagination to life, creating a unique and distinguished body of work.
