LEE SARA
이사라는 홍익대학교에서 미술학 박사 학위를 취득하고, 다수의 개인전을 통해 활발히 활동하고 있는 작가이다. 그가 캔버스에 담아내는 주제는 ‘wonderland’로, 이는 작가가 꿈꾸는 세계이자 사랑과 행복, 호기심이 가득한 상상의 공간이다.
작품 속에 등장하는 여러 소녀들은 작가 자신의 소망을 대신 이루어주는 존재로, 어린 시절의 기억과 감정에서 출발해 만들어진 가상 이미지들의 혼합체이다. 이들은 현실과 상상의 경계에 서서 관람자를 작가의 내면 세계로 이끄는 매개체로 작용한다.
이사라는 동심과 호기심, 그리고 상상에서 영감을 받아 반짝이는 눈망울의 소녀들과 몬스터 친구들이 함께 wonderland로 여행을 떠나는 이야기를 그려낸다. 그의 작품은 순수한 감정과 환상적인 서사를 통해 따뜻하고 몽환적인 세계를 펼쳐 보인다.
Lee Sara received her Ph.D. in Fine Arts from Hongik University and has been actively presenting her work through numerous solo exhibitions. The central theme of her paintings is “wonderland,” a dreamlike realm filled with love, happiness, and curiosity—an imagined world that reflects the artist’s inner landscape.
The girls appearing in her works represent figures who fulfill the artist’s own wishes, forming composite imaginary images shaped by memories and emotions from childhood. Positioned between reality and fantasy, they serve as conduits guiding viewers into her personal narrative universe.
Drawing inspiration from childlike innocence, curiosity, and imagination, Lee Sara depicts stories of wide-eyed girls and their monster companions journeying together into wonderland. Through these fantastical narratives, her paintings unfold a warm and dreamlike world infused with purity and gentle emotion.
