KIM JI HEE
김지희는 이화여자대학교 대학원 동양화과 석사과정을 졸업했고, 제6회 창작미술상, 제35회 전일전 예술상 등을 수상했다. 중국 K11 미술관 블록버스터 개인전, 가나 포럼 스페이스 개인전을 포함, 뉴욕, 런던, 도쿄, 베이징 등의 갤러리와 미술관에서 300여 회 이상의 전시에 참여하며 국제적인 명성을 쌓아왔다.
그는 한국 전통 종이인 장지 위에 ‘욕망’과 ‘존재’라는 주제로 오직 얼굴 정면을 인위적인 표현을 통해 전달한다. 화면 전체를 가득 채운 소녀의 얼굴과 반짝이는 보석들로 가득한 안경을 통해 빛나는 삶을 향한 욕망을 대변한다.
그는 그림과 함께 평택 M타워, 용인 유메이드 타원 등에 공공조형물을 제작했으며, 스톤핸지, 크록스, 중국 리미 화장품, MCM아트백, 도미노피자 등 다양한 아트 콜라보레이션을 통해 작품성과 대중성을 모두 아우르는 활동으로 주목받고 있다. 그의 작품은 수원 시립 아이파크미술관, 미샤, 페라리, 한성자동차, 쌍용 ALC, 대한적십자 외 다수의 병원과 중소기업에 소장되어 있다. 최근 그의 작품 ‘실드 스마일’이 2022 개정 교육과정 고등학교 미술 교과서 표지로 선정되며 화제를 모으고 있다.
Kim Ji Hee completed her master’s degree in Oriental Painting at the Graduate School of Ewha Womans University and has received awards including the 6th Creative Art Award and the 35th Jeonil Exhibition Art Award. She has built an international reputation by participating in more than 300 exhibitions at galleries and museums in cities such as New York, London, Tokyo, and Beijing, including blockbuster solo exhibitions at the K11 Art Museum in China and Gana Forum Space.
Working on jangji, traditional Korean paper, she conveys the themes of “desire” and “existence” through artificial expressions focused solely on the frontal face. The girl’s face filling the entire canvas and the glasses adorned with sparkling jewels represent a desire for a radiant life.
In addition to painting, she has produced public sculptures for sites such as Pyeongtaek M Tower and Yongin U-Made Oval, and has drawn attention through diverse art collaborations with brands including Stonehenge, Crocs, Limy Cosmetics China, MCM Art Bags, and Domino’s Pizza, encompassing both artistic value and popular appeal. Her works are held in collections such as the Suwon I’Park Museum of Art, Missha, Ferrari, Hansung Motor, SsangYong ALC, the Korean Red Cross, as well as numerous hospitals and small-to-medium-sized enterprises. Recently, her work “Shield Smile” was selected as the cover image for the revised 2022 high school art textbook, attracting widespread attention.
