Kim Dukki graduated from the Department of Oriental Painting at Seoul National University and has held numerous exhibitions throughout Korea, including in Seoul, Busan, and Ulsan. His works are filled with vibrant colors and warm energy. The color sensibility that once quietly conveyed Korean hues through ink painting has gradually evolved over time, gaining deeper vitality and resonance.

The four seasons—spring, summer, autumn, and winter—clearly reveal distinctly Korean colors and temperatures. Although his paintings are created with Western acrylic paints, they nonetheless convey the warm atmosphere of a happy hometown. Moments of family, joy, and happiness shared within nature shimmer on the canvas as small, embroidered points of color energy.

Believing strongly in the healing power of color and light, the artist uses vivid tones to gather greens, yellows, blues, and reds—colors found everywhere in nature—into countless dots across the canvas. These color particles expand into blue skies, green fields, golden sunlight, and richly tinted landscapes. For Kim Dukki, each color embodies the temperature of the seasons and serves as a shared symbol of healing and happiness.
