장희정은 이화여자대학교 서양화과를 졸업한 후 1995년 뉴욕대학교 미술대학원을 마쳤다. 이후 16회의 개인전을 개최하고, 키아프(KIAF), 화랑미술제, 싱가포르 및 나고야 아트페어 등 70여 회에 이르는 국내외 그룹전에 참여하며 활발한 예술 활동을 이어가고 있다.

그의 작품은 처음에는 사진처럼 보이지만, 디지털 프린트와 오일 페인팅을 절묘하게 혼합해 화면의 중요한 지점을 강조하고 깊이를 더한다. 매끈한 평면 위로 드러나는 유화의 붓 자국은 예상치 못한 촉각적 감각을 불러일으키며 관객의 시선을 사로잡는다.

장희정이 추구하는 믹스드 미디어 기법과 화사한 색의 조합, 단순하면서도 세련된 구도는 평범한 꽃과 책의 이미지를 매력적이고 특별한 작품으로 변모시킨다. 특히 2001년부터 2012년까지 공장에서 제작한 천 위에 민화풍의 꽃 그림을 덧그린 연작은 많은 미술 콜렉터의 주목을 받았다. 2012년 이후에는 사진을 주요 소재로 작업 영역을 확장하며 새로운 가능성을 탐구하고 있으며, 그의 작품은 한국채권평가, 한국펀드평가주식회사, LS Life주식회사, 쌈지(ssamzie), Indian Head 외국인학교, 메이병원, Capital One Group, 서울옥션, Morrison & Foerster LLP, 제피로스 골프장(제주), 리빙 엑시스, 카이스트 경영대학원, 김찬병원 등 여러 기관에 소장되어 있다.

Jang Hee Jeong graduated from the Department of Western Painting at Ewha Womans University and completed her MFA at New York University in 1995. She has held sixteen solo exhibitions and participated in more than seventy group exhibitions both in Korea and internationally, including KIAF, Hwarang Art Fair, and art fairs in Singapore and Nagoya.

At first glance, her works resemble photographs, yet she skillfully combines digital printing with oil painting to emphasize key elements and create depth. The visible brushstrokes of oil paint emerging from smooth surfaces introduce an unexpected tactile sensation that draws viewers into the work.

Through her use of mixed media techniques, vibrant color palettes, and simple yet refined compositions, Jang transforms ordinary images of flowers and books into compelling and distinctive artworks. Her notable series produced between 2001 and 2012—featuring folk-inspired floral paintings layered over factory-made fabric—attracted significant attention from art collectors. Since 2012, she has expanded her practice by incorporating photography as a primary subject, exploring new artistic possibilities. Her works are held in collections including Korea Bond Rating, Korea Fund Ratings, LS Life, Ssamzie, Indian Head International School, Mae Hospital, Capital One Group, Seoul Auction, Morrison & Foerster LLP, Zephyros Golf Club (Jeju), Living Axis, KAIST Graduate School of Management, and Kim Chan Hospital.
