한영 작가의 작업은 내면에 존재하는, 마치 부유하듯 떠다니는 신기루 같은 존재를 감지하고 그것을 즉시 캔버스에 그려내는 행위로 이루어진다. 그는 색채주의 작가로서, 대상을 통해 작품의 주제를 설명하기보다는 공간, 형태, 색채 등 기본적인 조형 요소들을 통해 자신만의 이미지를 제시하려 한다.

Han Young is an artist who graduated from the Department of Western Painting at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and completed a master's degree in Fine Arts at Paris VIII University. The artist often feels that his paintings resemble a diary. While not a daily journal, his work can certainly be viewed as a type of diary, recording something from his heart.

Han Young’s process involves capturing an elusive presence—something that floats like a mirage in his mind—and instantly expressing it on the canvas. As a colorist, he tends not to explain the theme of his work through specific subjects, but instead aims to present his unique images through basic elements such as space, form, and color.

The rhythm of the brushstrokes on the canvas represents an instinctive impulse to leave a trace, as well as a struggle for new expression. Through his use of color and rhythm, Han Young seeks to convey emotions and meaning in a deeply personal way.
