EVA ARMISEN
에바 알머슨은 스페인 출신의 화가로 바르셀로나에서 미술 공부를 한 이후 줄곧 그곳에 정착하여 유럽과 미국을 오가며 왕성하게 활동하고 있다. 1994년 개인전을 열었고 스페인 코카콜라 광고 CF를 통해 이름을 알렸다. 이후 서울, 로스앤젤레스, 홍콩, 싱가포르, 리스본, 상해, 멜버른 등 주요 도시에서 활약하며 국제적인 작가로 성장했다. 우리나라에서도 에바 알머슨의 동화책이 출간된 바 있다.
작가는 일상에서 찾을 수 있는 지극히 평범한 순간들을 포착하여 동화 속 한 장면처럼 그린다. 알머슨 그림 속 인물들은 모두 넉넉하고 둥글둥글한 모습이며 온화한 표정에서 긍정의 기운을 전달한다. 작가의 개성 있고 독특한 스타일로 많은 팬들에게 폭넓은 공감과 지지를 받고 있다. 담백한 화면 속 사랑, 믿음, 신뢰, 휴식, 애정 등의 따뜻한 메시지는 보는 이로 하여금 행복한 미소를 짓게 한다.
Eva Armisén is a Spanish painter who, after studying art in Barcelona, settled there and has since been actively working across Europe and the United States.
She held her first solo exhibition in 1994 and gained public recognition through a Coca-Cola television commercial in Spain. Since then, she has grown into an internationally acclaimed artist, presenting her work in major cities such as Seoul, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Singapore, Lisbon, Shanghai, and Melbourne. In Korea, several of Eva Armisén’s illustrated storybooks have also been published.
Her work captures the most ordinary moments of everyday life, depicting them as if they were scenes from a fairy tale. The figures in her paintings are characterized by generous, rounded forms and gentle expressions that radiate a sense of positivity.
With her distinctive and personal style, Armisén has earned wide empathy and strong support from a broad audience. Within her simple, uncluttered compositions, warm messages of love, trust, faith, rest, and affection emerge—inviting viewers to respond with a quiet, happy smile.
