Based in New York, Daniel Arsham is an artist whose practice centers on the concept of “Fictional Archaeology,” working across sculpture, architecture, drawing, and film. Through a multidisciplinary approach, he reinterprets contemporary visual culture within an imagined temporal framework.

Arsham recreates cultural icons of the present as if they were unearthed from a distant future, depicting objects that appear eroded, decayed, or weathered over time. By imagining how familiar forms might be perceived far ahead in the future, he produces works that seem damaged or consumed by the passage of time.
