최지윤은 경희대학교 미술대학 및 교육대학원을 졸업한 후, 20회 이상의 개인전을 개최하며 단체전과 아트페어에도 꾸준히 참여해 온 성실한 현대미술 작가이다. 그는 이별과 상실의 근원을 ‘자연으로부터의 상실’로 인식하고, 들꽃과 들풀을 매개로 ‘상실 이전의 자연’을 탐구해 왔다.

이러한 맥락에서 들꽃은 작가가 잃어버린 과거의 기억과 향수를 현재로 불러오는 영매이자, 자연의 본성을 일깨우는 정령과도 같다. 사물과 꽃을 엮어 이야기를 만들어가는 과정 속에서 작가는 깊은 추억과 위안을 발견하고, 소망과 사유를 화면에 담아낸다.

최지윤은 달콤한 꽃의 이미지가 마음 깊숙이 닿아 기쁨의 행위와 묘사를 통해 행복한 울림을 전하기를 바란다. 그가 말하는 자연의 세계는 고요하고 평화로우며, 타인에게 상처를 주지 않는 공간이다. 그의 시선과 직관, 감각이 많은 이들에게 아름답고 잔잔한 울림으로 전해지기를 희망한다.

Choi Ji Yun graduated from the College of Fine Arts and the Graduate School of Education at Kyung Hee University, and has held over twenty solo exhibitions while consistently participating in group exhibitions and art fairs. She understands the origin of separation and loss as a “loss from nature,” and explores the idea of “nature before loss” through wildflowers and grasses.

Within this perspective, wildflowers function as mediums that summon lost memories and nostalgia into the present, as well as spirits that awaken the essence of nature. By weaving narratives through objects and flowers, the artist finds deep remembrance and consolation, sharing her wishes and reflections through her work.

Choi hopes that the gentle sweetness of flowers will resonate deeply within the viewer, offering joyful emotions and a sense of happiness. The natural world she envisions is filled with quietude and peace, a place that does not inflict harm on others. She wishes that her gaze, intuition, and sensibility may become a beautiful and tranquil echo for many people.
