ANDY REMENTER
앤디 리멘터는 미국 빅토리아 양식에 영감을 받은 해변 마을에서 태어났다. 그는 벼룩시장의 골동품, 수제 타이포그래피 등 과거와 오래된 것들에 대한 매력을 느끼며 작업을 시작했다. 2004년 필라델피아 예술대학교를 졸업한 이후 드로잉, 회화, 애니메이션, 조형물 등 다양한 매체를 넘나들며 작품 활동을 이어오고 있다.
그의 작품은 <뉴욕 타임즈>, <MTV>, <어반 아웃피터스>, <더 뉴요커>, <워너 브라더스>, <아파르타멘토>, <크리에이티브 리뷰> 등 여러 매체에 소개되었으며, 이를 바탕으로 뉴욕, 베를린, 런던, 도쿄, 밀라노 등 세계 주요 도시에서 전시를 개최해 왔다.

Andy Rementer was born in a seaside town inspired by American Victorian architecture. Drawn to antiques found at flea markets and handcrafted typography, he began his artistic practice with a fascination for the past and vintage aesthetics. After graduating from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia in 2004, he has continued to work across a wide range of media including drawing, painting, animation, and sculpture.
His work has been featured in publications such as <The New York Times>, <MTV>, <Urban Outfitters>, <The New Yorker>, <Warner Brothers>, <Apartamento>, and <Creative Review>. Building on this recognition, he has held exhibitions in major cities including New York, Berlin, London, Tokyo, and Milan.
While his works often depict figures with contemplative or melancholic expressions, they are rendered in vivid colors and bright patterns that convey an outwardly cheerful and playful mood. Rementer captures overlooked objects and fleeting moments from everyday life, transforming them into artworks that feel both lighthearted and subtly introspective.
