Alain Clement is a French abstract painter and sculptor who began his artistic journey as a self-taught artist in his early twenties. Since 1990, his wall-mounted sculptural works have been inspired by the large colored lines that define his pictorial space, delicately capturing the transformation of the two-dimensional canvas into a field for sculptural experimentation. His work explores the complex relationship between two-dimensional painting and three-dimensional sculpture, continuously seeking hope through color.

Through strokes, lines, ribbons, and frames, Clement manipulates and negates space to generate new forms of expression.
