아하이 콩은 남경에서 태어나 1989년 남경예술학원 미술학부에서 중국화를 전공한 후 현재 베이징에서 활발히 작품 활동을 하고 있다. 그는 호기심을 가지고 끊임없이 도전과 실험을 이어가며, 때로는 스스로를 위험한 상황에 몰아넣고 극한의 훈련을 감행하기도 한다. 이러한 모험심과 자유로운 성향은 그의 작품에 고스란히 반영되어, 종이 위에서 억압되지 않고 이야기를 풀어낸다.

그의 작업은 번지거나 얼룩을 활용하는 독특한 기법을 통해 시간과 공간의 경계를 허물며, 내면의 숨겨진 감정을 표현한다. 결국 모든 것이 사라지고 종이 위에 남는 것은 ‘진실’이다. 아하이 콩은 베이징의 박물관과 콘서트홀, 상하이, 독일 등 다양한 곳에서 개인전을 개최하고, 단체전에도 꾸준히 참여하면서 왕성한 작품 활동을 이어가고 있다.

그의 예술은 끊임없는 탐구와 실험을 통해 더욱 풍부해지며, 동양 미술의 아름다움을 전파하고 있다.

Ahai Kong was born in Nanjing and graduated in 1989 from the Department of Fine Arts at Nanjing University of the Arts, where he majored in traditional Chinese painting. Currently based in Beijing, he continues to create art while constantly embracing curiosity and experimentation. At times, he places himself in dangerous situations and undergoes intense training in pursuit of new artistic developments. This adventurous spirit and free-spirited nature are reflected in his works, where he tells stories without constraint on paper.

His distinctive technique of using splashes and stains breaks the boundaries of time and space, allowing him to express hidden inner emotions. Ultimately, everything disappears, and what remains on the paper is ‘truth’. Ahai Kong has held numerous solo exhibitions at museums and concert halls in Beijing, as well as in Shanghai and Germany, while actively participating in group exhibitions.

Through constant exploration and experimentation, his art continues to evolve and enrich, spreading the beauty of Eastern art to a broader audience.
